“Chains do not hold a marriage together.
It is threads, hundreds of tiny threads which sew people together through the years.
That is what makes a marriage last”

Greetings from Cornwall and I hope you all had a good Christmas and are looking forward to the New Year. I have a special reason this year for welcoming in the New Year, my son Christopher and his fiancée Jane will be getting married on New Year’s Eve. They chose this day to symbolize a new beginning for them both. What better time to start a new life together, the first day of a new year. I wish them all the happiness for the future....

So the next few days will be occupied with preparations, family and friends. Then I will have the task of taking down all my Christmas decorations and cards. I always like to recycle the cards that people send me, some of which I will use for tags or crafts. Then there are the few that I keep because they are too good to cut up, yes I have an album just for these.....

I can see faint footprints in the snow where the birds have walked
before being held by the angel....

The children came upon this magical place by chance as only children can. The friends who sent me this know me so well....

A Christmas scene imagined by us all....
A cottage covered in snow, its inhabitants already asleep on Christmas Eve. A snowman smiling as he watches Santa go on his way..

Happy New Year.....Until 2009....lol...
